On May 4th’s Off the Record, sizzlin’ hot Lee Hyori admitted to her first big rejection. Besides failing to become a respectable singer, the 28 year old entertainer failed her auditions for the famous record label, SM Entertainment. Although she was later picked up by DSP Entertainment for the group FIN.K.L., it was a disappointment to miss out sharing the fame with mega stars like H.O.T., S.E.S., Kwon BoA, DBSK, and many others.
The superstar who was in high demand, was also happily welcomed by Mnet Media, to whom she eventually signed with, but she never forgot about the rejection by SM Entertainment. C.E.O. Lee Soo Man himself, told Hyori, “There’s no way you would have passed the auditions anyway.”
